Intergrated Thermo-Electric Temperature Control Solution

Norcross GA, USA?? –?? The AccuPyc II Series are fast, fully automatic gas displacement pycnometers that provide high-speed, high-precision volume measurements and true density calculations on a wide variety of powers, solids, and slurries.

Micromeritics has added a versatile temperature-control solution to this series with the introduction of the AccuPyc II TEC.

Gas pycnometry is recognized as one of the most reliable techniques for obtaining true, absolute, skeletal, and apparent volume and density.

However, materials subjected to changing temperature may have a direct effect on their volume, thereby affecting accurate density determination.

The AccuPyc II TEC is an excellent option for use with temperature sensitive or viscous samples where environmental temperature cannot be adequately controlled.

The AccuPyc II TEC features a Peltier thermoelectric device to deliver temperature stability and accurate temperature control from 15 to 36 ??C, adjustable in 0.1 ??C increments.

Available in stand-alone models with sample chamber sizes of 10 cm?? and 100 cm??, the instrument also comes in an analysis module version for remote operation when utilizing an AccuPyc II control module.

Optional software can also enable the instrument to determine the density of semi-solid bituminous materials.

With this TEC software solution, data can be closely correlated to those obtained with ASTM Test Method D70-09, but with much faster specific gravity, volume, and density results. This option includes disposable sample cups to limit contamination and minimize cleaning of the sample chamber between analyses.

Micromeritics was the first company to market commercially automated surface area, mercury penetration, and sedimentation particle size analyzers. Micromeritics is world-renowned for its pioneering innovations in these areas and others, including porosimetry, density, zeta potential, and chemisorption analysis. The company has also led the way in the areas of liquid chromatography, density, automatic sample delivery, TPD/TPR chemisorption, balanced adsorption surface area, and DFT Plus?? (NLDFT) data interpretation. The company has been??granted??over forty patents in these combined areas of materials characterization.
