Raleigh, NC USAMICRO-EPSILON, a member of micro-epsilon group. offers several unique IR temperature measuring systems. One, optris® CTtrans, provides a measurement mode that determines transmissivity and emissivity of semitransparent materials in the mid-IR band between 8 – 14 µm, that, in turn enables automatic, online correction for emissivity and transmissivity of such products when measuring temperatures in a control or monitoring situation.

If the material changes, its new emissivity will be determined by the CTtrans configuration and then transferred via 0-10 V output to an optris CT connected for temperature measurement as indicated in the photo below.
