Sensors automatically log all data

Lexington KY, USA – Point Six Wireless introduces a new ultra low power 802.11 Sensor Family. The product line up consists of Temperature, Humidity, Thermistor and RTDs with integrated IEEE 802.11 radios supporting WEP 128 and WPA2 security.
The sensors automatically log all data so nothing is lost in the event of a network outage.
All sensors include local audible and visual alarms to alert personnel of a problem.
The 802.11 “Integration Strategy” reduces installation and on-going maintenance costs associated with the usual “Overlay Strategy” of installing yet another wireless network where one already exists.
Designed to leverage the proliferation of 802.11 infrastructures in Healthcare, Education Food service and Industrial Facilities, these products enable IT Managers to derive added value from their WiFi Network build out.
The Point Sensor WiFi RTD-100 sensor is a sealed, battery operated RTD temperature sensor with an integrated microprocessor controlled 2.4GHz IEE 802.11b radio transmitter. The sensor has an on board clock that allows it to spend most of the time in a low power quiescent state.
The Point Sensor WiFi Room Sensor is a battery operated digital temperature/humidity sensor with a microprocessor controlled IEEE 802.11b radio transceiver.
The Point Sensor WiFi RTD Transmitter is a battery operated 2.4GHz IEE 802.11b radio transmitter compatible with all Point Six RJ11 Temperature probes.
