Chaired by Dr Jeff Schwegman from AB Technologies, the 28th June 2011 webinar is targeted at anyone involved in the development, management, Quality Control, scale-up, transfer, or production of freeze-dried products that has at some point in their career, experienced product failure.
This webinar will begin by discussing the thermal properties of products that can determined through thermal characterization studies. Additionally, correct identification of the failure through visual observation will be discussed.
Using these two concepts, several case studies from failed batches, due to poor formulations and or poor cycles, will be presented and openly discussed with the participants to resolve the problems.
Understanding the scientific principles and physical characteristics of formulated products, allows the development scientist/engineer to better troubleshoot and correct problematic formulations and or lyophilization cycles.
