Devon, UK – App developer Rory Buckley today has announces the release of Weather Pod version 1.1 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.
Weather Pod is a data driven weather app that balances visual simplicity with advanced weather intelligence to give the user fast, accurate and frequently updated weather information, based on their current location. The app is well known for its ability to offer a very unique and intuitive user experience.
The first noticeable changes that will be seen are on the current conditions display. Rather than having regular hourly updates, Weather Pod is now updated every minute, with live and developing weather conditions being displayed.
There is also a daily summary that will compliment this. The previous 3 day forecast feature has now been completely redesigned and rebuilt into a 5 day forecast with further improvements to accuracy and weather discovery for each day.
One feature that Rory Buckley was eager to improve was the radar map option.
This has been completely refreshed into an interactive weather map where the user can both view current rainfall within their location and anywhere else in the world. One more feature worth noting is that Weather Pod is now universal, so iPad users can now enjoy using the app.
Rory Buckley has always had great belief in Weather Pod becoming one of the ‘elite’ weather apps. He feels very strongly on delivering a unique and fun approach to browsing something that some would consider to be dull and evidence so far would suggest that Weather Pod certainly does make weather data interesting and appealing to view.
