ReducingTime_Thermal_Online — For many applications, it is important to provide an accurate temperature measurement of a medium in the shortest possible time.

Initially one will attempt to reduce the response time of the temperature sensor by changing its physical characteristics, i.e. surface area, heat capacity, heat transfer coefficients, and volume.

Sometimes a faster measurement is required than can be achieved by optimizing the sensor construction.

In those cases, if the medium temperature is relatively static, it is possible to use simple predictive algorithms to estimate the temperature of the medium in a much shorter time span.
