Norwood, MA, usa –(– The ISD boards from Advanced Thermal Solutions, Inc. are PCB-based scanners for simultaneous, high speed measurements of air velocity and temperature from two independent sensors. These embedded boards can be integrated into other types of systems opening their capability of simultaneous measurements of air velocity and temperature to other systems.

The boards directly assess air flow and temperature in computer feedback control and measurement systems using mobile sensors that can be positioned anywhere in the test domain. ATS???s patented and robust Candlestick Sensors can also be used with these boards.

Two independent sensors are provided with the PCBs, and the system can be customized for different temperature and velocity ranges. The boards are available with LabVIEW??? software for converting voltages into digital temperature and velocity values.

The ISD-232 board features a convenient RS-232 D-sub connector and digital output. The ISD board features digital output. Both boards are available in sizes under 2 x 2 inches.

Embedded applications for ATS???s boards include controlling devices such as laboratory wind tunnels, HVAC equipment, laboratory fume hood measurement, environmental controls and monitoring in biotechnology manufacturing, industrial baking and other precisions food processing or to provide read-out data for display systems where rapid measurement is needed.

The boards measure temperatures from -30 ??C to 150 ??C and air velocities from 0 to 51 m/sec (10,000 ft/min).
