Speaker: Jason Selzler, Product Manager at Vaisala

Jason Selzler is the product manager for weather radar signal processing and software. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota – St. Cloud in the field of meteorology. Before joining Sigmet in 2005, the leading company in weather radar signal processing at that time, he gained extensive experience in weather radar operations while working at the Reagan Test Site (RTS) in the Marshall Islands. There he was responsible for calibration, data quality control, and scan configurations of the Kwajalein Polarimetric Weather Radar (KPOL) being one of the first dual-polarimetric radars used in 24/7 operational role in support of RTS and the Tropical Rainfall Measurement Mission (TRMM). Jason’s current responsibilities are to understand the needs of our customers, development of radar technology, and to steer the product development team with his knowledge.
