The US National Weather Service/NOAA has awarded GRAW their contract to supply turnkey radiosonde observing systems at the ten (10) Caribbean sites included in their Cooperative Hurricane Upper Air Station (CHUAS) network.

Over the next 4 months GRAW will supply, install, and train local personnel on the use of our GS-E Radiosonde Receiving System, GRAWMET software package, and model DFM-09 GPS Radiosonde.

The CHUAS Radiosonde Observing Systems (CROS) supplied by GRAW will replace legacy stations in the Caribbean, provide twice-daily soundings, and deliver important data for the US National Hurricane Center and the WMO World Weather Watch.

GRAW is a well-established German company developing and manufacturing Upper Air Sounding Systems since 1938. GRAW’s customers are military, academic research and meteorological institutions worldwide.
